LIBRARY
ORIENTATION PROGRAMME
A two-day Library Orientation Programme was successfully conducted on 17
and 18 August 2026 at College Library. The primary objective of this initiative
was to welcome the new intake of students and familiarise them with the college
library's physical layout, services, and e-resources. To manage the
student strength effectively while ensuring high-quality engagement, the
orientation sessions were strategically divided across two days.
Each
day's session reached a successful close with an interactive Open Forum /
Q&A session. Students proactively clarified doubts regarding specific
library operational hours, overdue fine structures, and institutional login credentials
for off-campus e-resource access. The orientation successfully empowered the
freshers with the critical navigational and research skills required to
optimize the library's physical and digital ecosystems for their ongoing
academic success.
CELEBRATION OF NATIONAL
LIBRARIAN DAY
12 August 2026 at 12:30 p.m in college Library to celebrate the birth anniversary of Dr. S. R. Ranganathan, the Father of Library Science in India. The objective was to honor his invaluable contributions to the field of library and information science and to inspire students to cultivate lifelong reading habits.
Students were invited to deliver 2–3 minutes speeches on topics centered around the importance of books, reading, libraries, and knowledge. The event provided a platform for students to articulate the role of the library in their academic lives.
