The Library Department of Dev Samaj College for Women, Sector-45/B, Chandigarh organized “Reference Hunting & Book Finding Contest” in the College Library on 27.04.2022. The objective of the contest is to encourage the students to find out the information resources available in the library. The contest is organized keeping in mind the interests of the students in locating the information for their academic and career development purposes.
The contest had attracted 38 team from the under-graduate & post graduate students of the college. Each team consisted of two students. The teams were asked to locate the book out of the book collection in the library and also the teams were asked to find out information from the reference sources like encyclopedia Britannica.
While inaugurating the event, Dr Meena Chopra, Principal, Dev Samaj College for Women, Chandigarh, Appreciated the efforts of the Library for organizing such contests to attract the students to visit the library and explore the information resources available in the library. Earlier in the day, Ms. Amandeep Kaur, Librarian, DSCW welcomed the teams to this contest and briefed about the objectives and rules of the contest. Ms. Amandeep Kaur added that these contest are organized every year in the college library.

· Third Price: Shraddha & Mehak /B.sc(Non-Medical) & B.sc(IT)
