NATIONAL LIBRARY WEEK CELEBTATION
Dev Samaj College for Women , Library has celebrated National Library Week on 19th, 20th november,2025 in college library
- Purpose: To highlight the important role of libraries, promote literacy and encourage student participation.
Essay writing competition took place on November 19,2025. Students were given various topics from which they have to write essay on one topic . Following were the topics::
- Why , I need my library ?
- Impact of technology on libraries .
- Why we still read Fiction?
- Write about your favourite book .
- Are libraries better suited for alone study or collaborative learning ?
Book donation drive and book talk Contest took place on November 20,2025
Students were actively involved in both day activities . Overall , it was a successful experience for students .
DSCW Library Chandigarh organized "Reference Hunting & Book Finding Contest" on 20th March, 2025.
''The objective of the contest is to encourage the students to find out the information for their academic and career development purposes.''
